The Umbrella Man statue is located in Pioneer Square in Portland, Oregon.  While there in 2014, my photo was made with the Umbrella Man.  I wondered if I could magically make his umbrella red!

Red Umbrella Project #58:  Bug Ranch

You have to get off the interstate to see interesting things like the Bug Ranch (not to be confused with the Cadillac Ranch west of Amarillo).  The Bug Ranch off I-40 at Conway features 5 Volkswagens buried hood-down.  It was the old roadster that got the umbrella.

The red umbrella joins the sculpture by the Experimental Sciences Building on the Texas Tech campus which "requires the viewer to accept the totality of the experience as irrational, unfamiliar, challenging and irreducible."
