The resort at Roche Harbor is built around the former company town of Tacoma and Roche Harbor Lime Company, incorporated in 1886.  One can wander around the hotel, view the lime kilns and generator, visit the church and mausoleum and generally enjoy the beauty of the gardens.

The Texas Tech campus is awash in red tulips.  Spring has definitely sprung!

april is the cruelest month

 

The tulips on the Texas Tech campus were at their peak on Sunday - a beautiful spring day.  On Monday another front with blowing dust -- scattering petals hither and yon.

Bob Dylan looks for answers in the wind; around here we mostly have sand in the wind. Today was breezy but thankfully no dust. Generally tulips are short-lived - blown by the wind.
