While the red tiles roofs of Old Town Dubrovnik get all the press, I found rendering some of the church spires in monotone to be interesting.

Stari Grad

 

Stari Grad on the northern end of the island of Hvar is the oldest town in Croatia --settled by Greeks in 834 BC.  One advantage of cruising toward the end of tourist season is the lack of crowds.  Pots, doors, shutters were painted this chartreuse like it was the town's signature color.
